Brewer Yacht Haven Marina, Stamford, Connecticut, ...
Author Last Post
This was the seventh stop on our coastal trip, and a pleasant one. This facility is modern and has all the amenities--and a large staff, which was helpful when we arrived with a balky gearshift that made shifting into reverse almost impossible. You can get a bird's-eye view of the place at their website, www.byy.com/CTMarinas/Stamford. At first they were going to put us in an inner slip, but after we explained the shifting problem they let us have an outer slip and sent four strong dockhands down to help us stop before hitting the dock. The docks are floating, and appeared nearly new. There was plenty of water depth. We paid $2.75 per foot plus a small charge for the shore power hookup. The only downside to this otherwise excellent location was the sudden change in temperature when we passed from the sea breeze to the land breeze. On the evening we came in, the difference was a good 20 degrees. I would recommend this marina.
