T40 headliner removal
Author Last Post

I am also interested in this topic. I have Bill Solberg's T3800 "Wind Dancer".

Several of the fiberglass cabin headliner pieces seem to be trapped in place including one with the mast in its center, one with the overhead hatch in the center, and the one with the companionway hatch trim over it.

I have been wondering about cutting the panels fore and aft into Port, Starboard, and centerline pieces; and then adding fore and aft teak battens to cover the new edges. This would give access to the hand rail fasteners, traveler towers, and line organizers on the cabin top.

Greetings,

I'm looking for guidance in removing a couple of rigid headliner panels on a T40. Specifically I'm interested in gaining access to the underside of the cabin top for installation of through-bolted staysail sheet leads. The corresponding headliner panels would be on either side of the mast, main cabin

Many thanks,

Carter Brey
